As reports of the divorce between Donald Trump Jr. and Dear Utol (2025): WEEK 5 HIGHLIGHTS Episode 29Vanessa Trump have circulated, various theories have been floated about why they're splitting. And now an unearthed song from singer Aubrey O'Day may be a pretty big hint that confirms one of them.
SEE ALSO: Just 13 very upsetting photos of Donald Trump Jr.The latest reports suggest that Trump Jr. had an affair with O'Day, a member of pop group Danity Kane, when she was a participant on The Celebrity Apprenticein 2011. And there are a few bread crumbs along the way that point to some truth.
First was the (now-deleted) tweet O'Day sent on election night following Trump's win, which no one knew how to interpret at the time.
And then there's this: A cringey 2013 song titled "DJT" which talks about a love affair that's fallen apart. It combines a conversation with some occasionally sung lines which is all meh -- until you realize oh hey the song's title doubles as Trump Jr.'s initials.
Does this mean that the conversational parts of the song were taken from a real breakup conversation between O'Day and Trump Jr.? Would that mean that this mind-melting exchange was real? (The male part is in italics.)
You want to believe that everything with me was a lie? A fantasy? And you want to go back and live in the life that you had have forever?I don't know, I couldn't do what I said I would doSo that answered the question for meI'll always want you and always wonder about itBut it doesn't matter because I have to stay here
There's something both terrible and mind-blowing in envisioning Trump Jr. sneering this retort over the phone as O'Day pleads for affirmation:
I have to move on, I need your helpI can't believe that this was all a lieYou have to tell me you love meI don't 'cause you're a fucking pain in my ass
There's certainly room in music for great songs about an affair -- from Dolly Parton's "Jolene" to TLC's "Creep" -- but this song is not one of them, and it will take an eternity to scrub all of the imagery in it from our minds.
