Black Panther's second theater run is a celebration of Black History Month, Disney stated in a press release. On top of offering free screenings of the groundbreaking Marvel movie, the Walt Disney Company will be giving a $1.5 million grant to the United Negro College Fund.
Along with a best picture Oscar nomination, Black Pantherhas also been nominated for best original score, original song, costume design, production design, sound editing, and sound mixing. Black Pantheris also the first superhero movie to earn a best picture nomination at the Academy Awards.
